MR. MARKS' SHORT BIOGRAPHY:
I am currently in my 6th year teaching at Mount Boucherie Secondary School in the Central Okanagan School District. Since being hired in 2017, I have been the teacher/coordinator of the MBSS/ West Kelowna Fire Rescue Fire Academy. I have also taught Social Studies, Career Life Education, Physical Edutation and the school's Soccer Academy in 2020/21 and am filling this position again for 2022/23. Previously I had been a teacher in the Delta and Surrey School Districts in the Lower Mainland of B.C. from 2005 - 2017. I grew up in South Delta and in my lifetime I have travelled to Mexico, Australia, many countries in Europe and various destinations in the United States and Canada. I enjoyed Vancouver when I lived there and tried to take advantage of all that city had to offer. My family is proud to now call Kelowna home and we have embraced the active lifestyle that the Okanagan has to offer. I grew up playing sports like Soccer, Hockey, Basketball and many others. In the winter I snowboard very frequently and over the years I have coached sports such as Ice Hockey, Soccer, Basketball and Badminton. I have also worked jobs related to community health and recreation prior to my years teaching.
